Course Overview
Beyond Experience is a 4-day intensive workshop that offers a comprehensive skill set for working with the whole spectrum of psychedelic experiences. The course’s primary goal is to help participants engage in a deep integration process to remember and express their experiences, and empower them to build new connections and create meaningful change consciously. The workshop provides a safe and inclusive space for deep self-exploration, focusing on integrating experiences from expanded states of consciousness, both substance and non-substance induced.
The course offers a range of practical techniques, including automatic writing, intensive music trances, hypnotherapeutic trance journeys, mindfulness meditation practices, creative expression, and bodywork. Theoretical sessions cover substance-related topics, set and setting, trip-sitting, and drug emergencies. This theoretical-practical approach provides a stable and beneficial self-awareness process and a rich toolbox for working with psychedelic experiences.
Beyond Experience is directed towards people interested in self-exploration and personal development. It is suitable for those who want to learn an extensive range of integration methods, benefit from a group process, and prepare for and connect to their psychedelic experiences in beneficial ways. The course is also of interest to psychotherapists, medical doctors, and complementary mental health professionals interested in safe and legal self-exploration (it's also part of the two-year APT training).
The Beyond Experience team comprises up to 15 professionals from different backgrounds and disciplines, including coaches, psychotherapists, medical doctors, and bodyworkers. The course is based on a variety of methods and theoretical frameworks, with a focus on engaging with psychedelic experiences to create meaningful change.
The workshop is not limited to those with experience with psychoactive substances. It is equally suitable for participants who have had intense experiences through other means, such as breathwork, yoga, trance dance, tantra, or meditation. Participants should be prepared to move, paint, and interact as the course is not intended to provide information merely but to facilitate deep self-exploration.
Who is this for?
People interested in self-awareness and personal development, including those seeking to integrate psychedelic or other altered-state experiences, whether in a private or professional context.
Prerequisites
No specific prerequisites are stated; the course is also described as relevant for people with little or no experience with psychoactive substances.
