Course Overview
This curriculum teaches the competencies needed for ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, with an emphasis on creating appropriate set and setting and supporting patients in non-ordinary states of consciousness. It covers intake and evaluation, patient preparation, facilitation skills, legal and practice-management issues, and the medical, psychotherapeutic, and spiritual interface during treatment. The training uses a collaborative model that brings together medical, psychological, and pastoral practitioners. It also addresses working with PTSD, ongoing trauma, life-threatening illness, concomitant medication, and collaboration with outside practitioners. Experiential learning is a required part of the program. Participants receive guided experience with ketamine using oral lozenge and intramuscular injection (IM), followed by dyadic session work and post-session integration. The curriculum includes follow-up virtual meetings 2-6 weeks after the workshop for supervision, feedback, and discussion of participant experiences.
Who is this for?
