Course Overview
The Fundamentals of Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy course is a 10-week blended learning program designed to provide regulated and non-regulated providers with the foundational knowledge and core competencies to begin practising in this emerging field. Taught by experienced Numinus practitioners, the course combines asynchronous online learning with live weekly Zoom sessions and facilitated practice groups, creating a flexible yet comprehensive training experience.
Grounded in evidence-informed approaches, the curriculum explores the therapeutic potential of psychedelic medicines within the broader healing journey. Key topics include inner healing intelligence, psychological flexibility, ethical considerations, cultural safety, and client care best practices. Participants will also engage in case-based discussions that highlight real-world applications and challenges, such as safety, preparation, integration, transference, and countertransference.
The program includes approximately 25.5 hours of asynchronous online coursework, 30 hours of live synchronous sessions, and 7.5 hours of small-group practice, for a total of 63 training hours. A diverse team of Numinus experts guides participants committed to justice, equity, dignity, and inclusion in psychedelic care.
