Synaptic's Psilocybin Practitioner Training is a 6-month hybrid program for people preparing to become licensed psilocybin facilitators in Oregon. The curriculum includes didactic learning modules, weekly Zoom classes, pre-recorded content, and in-person retreats for orientation, practicum, and graduation. The program covers topics including trauma-informed care, shamanism, intake and preparation, and group facilitation. It uses a small-group cohort model limited to 24 students and presents multiple worldviews, including Western science and wisdom traditions. Experiential training includes supervised practicum at a licensed psilocybin service center in Portland, Oregon, apprenticeship hours with pre-approved mentors, and personal growth work completed outside the program. Graduates receive ongoing post-licensure support, including mentorship, alumni networking, workshops, and professional development opportunities.
