Course Overview
The Trauma-informed Plant Medicine Facilitation Online Training is an 8-day program designed for individuals who are interested in or are currently facilitating healing spaces with the sacred indigenous and plant medicines such as Ayahuasca, Bufo, Kambo, Ibogaine, Wachuma, and Psilocybin. The program is also beneficial for individuals who are currently working or interested in plant medicine integration work, as well as facilitation assistants. The program aims to provide participants with a foundational understanding of trauma and the nervous system, and best practices to respond effectively to the signs and symptoms of trauma that may arise before, during, and after a ceremonial experience.
The program will be conducted in three modules, which can be purchased as a package or separately. Each module consists of 2 video lectures (2 x 1hr) and 2 live Zoom workshops (2 x 2.5hr) per day, for a total of 25 hours for module 1, 15.5 hours for module 2, and 12 hours for module 3. The program is scheduled to begin on Feb 18th, 2022, and will be conducted over a three-month period. Participants who complete the entire program will receive a certificate from AYA Healing Retreats.
The program will provide a deep dive into the world of somatic psychology, embodiment, trauma-informed foundations, neuroscience, and plant medicine and shamanist wisdom. It will consist of a combination of video lectures and theory, live Zoom workshops and experiential explorations, group sessions and a Facebook page where students will receive ongoing support to integrate the application of the learnings of the training.
The program is currently unavailable and last ran at the start of 2022.
