1st International KAP Summit 2026

The 1st International KAP Summit 2026 is the inaugural global gathering dedicated to the evolution of Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), held over three days in Barcelona. Organised by Clínica Synaptica, the summit bridges the gap between neuroscience and transformative clinical practice, covering the full spectrum of the KAP experience — from pharmacological foundations and safety protocols to advanced psychotherapeutic integration and ethical frameworks. It is designed primarily for healthcare professionals and researchers working in or adjacent to the field.

The programme features a distinguished international faculty, including Dr Phil Wolfson, pioneer of KAP and editor of The Ketamine Papers; Christopher Timmermann, lead researcher in neuroscience at Imperial College London; Professor Celia Morgan, an expert in psychopharmacology and KAP; and José Carlos Bouso, a renowned pharmacologist specialising in ethno-psychopharmacology. Additional speakers include Dr Ronald D. Siegel from Harvard Medical School, Dr Lowan Stewart on clinical ketamine protocols, Dr Joan Obiols of Clínica Synaptica, and Débora González, a researcher focused on the long-term effects of psychedelics and clinical integration.

As the first event of its kind, the summit offers a dedicated forum for the international KAP community to exchange knowledge, examine evidence-based protocols, and discuss the future direction of ketamine-assisted therapy within mental healthcare. Attendees can expect a programme that balances rigorous scientific content with practical clinical guidance, set against the backdrop of one of Europe's most vibrant cities.
