Find answers to common questions about blossom.

A paper or trial seems to be missing — how do I report it?

Use the feedback board to request a missing paper or trial — it's the fastest way to flag gaps, and other users can upvote the same request.

For factual corrections to existing entries (wrong dose, wrong year, misattributed finding), email floris@moreblossom.com directly with the specific field and a source.

Can I use Blossom data in my research or writing?

Yes. You are welcome to reference data from Blossom in research papers, articles, or reports — please link back to moreblossom.com and note the access date. For bulk data use, API integration, or commercial applications, reach out first to discuss the appropriate arrangement.

Do I need to cancel my membership?

No. Blossom memberships are annual access — you pay once and have full access for a year. There is nothing to cancel mid-year and no subscription that auto-renews by default.

When your year is up, you'll simply be prompted to renew if you want to continue. If you have any billing questions, email floris@moreblossom.com.

How current is the data?

The database is updated on a rolling basis. New peer-reviewed papers are added as they are published, trial records are updated as studies progress, and policy or access developments are tracked as they happen. The goal is to keep everything current within days rather than weeks.

Is there a team or institutional plan?

Pro Team plans are listed on the pricing page and cover small teams out of the box.

For teams of more than 5, or for institutional arrangements such as university departments or research organisations, email floris@moreblossom.com to discuss a custom setup.

Is there an API?

Yes. Pro members can access the Blossom API for programmatic queries across papers, trials, compounds, and more. Documentation and API keys are on the Developers page.

If you have a specific integration need not covered by the standard API, email floris@moreblossom.com.

What does a Pro membership include?

Pro membership unlocks the full database experience: complete paper abstracts and full-text links, advanced search filters, CSV exports, API access, and priority support. Pro Team plans add shared billing and seat management for organisations.

See the pricing page for the full breakdown and current rates.

What does the free plan include?

Free accounts can browse summaries of papers, clinical trials, compounds, topics, and countries. You can search across the database, follow links between related content, and get a broad picture of the research landscape.

Full paper access, advanced filters, data exports, and API access require a Pro membership.

What is Blossom?

Blossom is a structured research database tracking the full arc of psychedelic medicine — from clinical trials and peer-reviewed papers through to regulatory filings, therapy protocols, access policies, and real-world clinics. It has been running since 2018 and covers thousands of papers, trials, compounds, and countries.

It is built and maintained by Floris Wolswijk, who also works as a psychedelic facilitator and consultant. The aim is to give researchers, clinicians, journalists, and policy professionals a single place to understand what the science actually says and where the field stands.

Where does the data come from?

Papers are sourced from PubMed, PsycINFO, and direct journal monitoring. Clinical trial data comes from ClinicalTrials.gov and international equivalents (EudraCT, ISRCTN, ANZCTR). Access and policy data — legal frameworks, clinic networks, reimbursement pathways — is tracked manually and verified against primary sources.

Which compounds does Blossom cover?

The core coverage includes psilocybin, MDMA, ketamine, LSD, DMT and ayahuasca, ibogaine, mescaline, and 5-MeO-DMT. Coverage depth reflects the underlying research base — psilocybin and MDMA have the most data given the volume of clinical work. Emerging compounds are added as the evidence base grows.
