About This Instrument

The WHO Disability Assessment Schedule 2.0 (WHODAS 2.0) is a 36-item (or 12-item short form) assessment of health and disability developed by the World Health Organization. It measures functioning across six domains: cognition, mobility, self-care, getting along with others, life activities, and participation in society. Scores range from 0 (no disability) to 100 (full disability). The WHODAS 2.0 was introduced in DSM-5 as the recommended replacement for the Global Assessment of Functioning (GAF) scale. It is grounded in the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) framework, making it applicable across all health conditions regardless of diagnosis. In psychedelic research, the WHODAS 2.0 provides a standardized functional assessment that complements symptom-specific measures and is accepted by regulatory agencies worldwide.
