Rafael de la Torre Fornell is a Spanish clinical pharmacologist and neurosciences researcher based at the Hospital del Mar Research Institute (IMIM) and Universitat Pompeu Fabra. His research has focused on the clinical pharmacology of abused drugs, especially MDMA/ecstasy, and later expanded to related psychopharmacology and metabolomics studies involving compounds such as ayahuasca and 2C-B. He has held leadership roles in neurosciences research at IMIM and has been associated with the Toxicology/medicine faculty at UPF.
