Cambridge Psychedelic Research Group
Data updated
The Cambridge Psychedelic Research Group, founded and led by Liliana Galindo, is a partnership between the University of Cambridge, the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust and Cambridge University Hospitals. Its multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses and pharmacologists studies the therapeutic potential of psychedelics, empathogens and dissociatives for conditions including major depression, PTSD and eating disorders. What sets the group apart is its explicit aim of building the clinical protocols and infrastructure needed to deliver psychedelic-assisted therapy within the National Health Service, so that any eventual treatments could reach patients through publicly funded care rather than private clinics alone. It runs clinical trials alongside real-world studies to that end.
