Veterans' Perceptions of Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy for Depression and End-of-Life (KAP)
This observational cohort study (n=30) will explore how veterans aged 65 and older enrolled in VA healthcare perceive ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) for depression and end-of-life distress.

Detailed Description
This mixed-methods, cross-sectional cohort study uses interviews and questionnaires to examine how veterans aged 65+ enrolled in VA care understand ketamine-assisted psychotherapy for depression and end-of-life distress.
Participants complete brief demographics, PHQ-9, the Ten-Item Personality Inventory, and the Death Anxiety Questionnaire, then take part in a recorded story-completion interview; transcripts will be thematically coded and analysed for prevalence and correlates with symptom measures.

Inclusion Criteria
- Inclusion Criteria:
- Veterans enrolled in VA care.
- Age 65 or older.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
Exclusion Criteria
- Exclusion Criteria:
- Cognitively impaired to the extent that patient cannot comprehend the survey.
