M.A. in Expressive Arts Coaching & Community Building
This fully online M.A. program prepares students to use expressive arts in coaching and community building. It runs over four semesters and combines asynchronous coursework with two four-day virtual cohort intensives.
Course Overview
The M.A. in Expressive Arts Coaching & Community Building is designed for people who want to use expressive arts to foster resilience, connection, and positive change in individuals, groups, and communities. The program is fully online, spans four semesters, and consists of 32 units. Coursework combines academic study with experiential learning. The curriculum includes expressive arts-based coaching, relational-cultural arts-based coaching for transformation, community building and group coaching through narrative expressive arts, and a capstone integrative seminar. The program also includes two four-day synchronous virtual intensives, held in the first and third semesters, to build community and deepen learning. Students complete practical coaching experiences and work with academic advisors and coaching supervision throughout the program.
