Applicants submit a background and goal statement, CV or résumé, and, where relevant, current licence or ordination/commission documents; only complete applications are considered.

Is CIIS accredited?

CIIS is regionally accredited by WSCUC. The Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies and Research certificate curriculum is approved as a psilocybin training programme by the Oregon Health Authority and authorised by the Oregon Higher Education Coordinating Commission, which supports Oregon facilitator licensure pathways.

How much does it cost?

The certificate lists a non-refundable $150 application fee. For 2026-2027, tuition is $9,400 for the hybrid San Francisco cohort and $8,900 for the online cohort, with additional costs for optional Holotropic Breathwork and Oregon coursework; the KAP clinic offers psychotherapy on a sliding scale of $65-$100 per session, plus a $250 medical evaluation and a $400 three-hour KAP session.

What do you walk away with?

Certificate graduates complete 12 months of training and 140 to 150 hours of instruction across eight class weekends, with preparation for advanced clinical work and future FDA-approved psychedelic psychotherapy research and practice. Those who complete the extra Oregon training and pass the CIIS Oregon exam may apply to the Oregon Health Authority for a psilocybin facilitator licence.
