Course Overview
SoundMind Psychedelic Facilitator Training is an 8-month certificate program that is HECC and OHA-approved to train Oregon Psilocybin Facilitators.
The program covers using ketamine, psilocybin, and MDMA in the therapeutic setting. It is designed for clinicians, including psychotherapists, physicians, and others, but being a clinician is not a requirement for acceptance. The program is led by Hannah C. McLane, MD, MA, MPH. The course includes daily readings, interactive content, and practicum, as well as weekly live Zoom classes for 2 hours/week, video and reading content for students to keep, and weekly assignments and accountability groups.
Guest instructors will be featured on the live calls each week. The course is held on Tuesdays from 7-9 PM EST, but there is also an option for asynchronous learning. Homework and reading requirements take approximately 3-5 hours a week. The course covers breathwork for psychedelic preparation, psilocybin-assisted psychotherapy, MDMA-assisted psychotherapy, ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, psychedelic therapy and inclusion, meditation and psychedelics, psychedelics and clinical ethics, ceremonial use of psychedelics, and more.
Additionally, students can opt to take Specialty Track Experiential Programs during or after the 8-month training, such as the Psilocybin Track, Ketamine Track, Plant Medicine Track, and MDMA Track (availability dependent on regulatory approval). These programs are not included in the cost of the 8-month Facilitator Training Program.
Who is this for?
Clinicians, including psychotherapists and physicians, as well as others interested in psychedelic facilitator training.
Prerequisites
Clinician status is not required for acceptance.
