Cost-Effectiveness of Medically Monitored Ibogaine for Opioid Use Disorder in Tennessee: A State-Specific Semi-Markov Analysis

This cost-effectiveness modelling study (n=106,000) of Tennessee adults with opioid use disorder found that adding a medically monitored ibogaine pathway to standard care was less costly and produced more quality-adjusted life-years and better survival over ten years. Cost savings depended on programme cost and durability assumptions, though health gains held across conservative scenarios.
