COMP006 Phase III

At a glance

What to take from this page

  • The Netherlands already has a small, identifiable COMP360 trial footprint.
  • Trial-site capacity and routine-care capacity should be kept separate.
  • Potential implementation nodes are signals, not launch forecasts.

Who this helps

General readers

See where a future Dutch medical pathway could become real rather than abstract.

Researchers and clinicians

Separate current trial sites from broader ketamine, academic, and GGZ infrastructure.

Operators and developers

Identify the institutional nodes that would need referral, training, and service planning.

Current trial sites

Black dots: verified Dutch COMP006 sites from ClinicalTrials.gov.

COMP006prior COMP360

Current COMP006 site; also participated in the earlier COMP360 TRD programme.

The strongest Dutch launch-readiness signal: current Phase 3 site, earlier COMP360 experience, academic psychiatry, and a named P-TRD programme.

COMP006prior COMP360ketamine/esketamineimplementation network

Current COMP006 site; earlier COMP360 participation; ketamine/esketamine research and care signal.

High-probability implementation node because it combines COMP360 site experience, UMC psychiatry leadership, and Dutch ketamine/esketamine expertise.

COMP006prior COMP360ketamine/esketamineimplementation network

Current COMP006 site; earlier COMP360 participation; local esketamine and psychedelic network signal.

High-probability implementation node because LUMC appears in COMP006, earlier COMP360 work, esketamine materials, and the Dutch psychedelic GGZ network.

Potential implementation sites

White dots: ketamine/esketamine infrastructure, academic psychiatry, or GGZ network nodes that could plausibly matter after approval.

Amsterdam

Amsterdam UMC

ketamine/esketamineimplementation network

Potential implementation site: academic psychiatry and esketamine compassionate-use affiliation.

Not a current COMP006 site in the verified list, but relevant because Amsterdam UMC appears in Dutch esketamine infrastructure and the broader psychedelic psychiatry network.

Amsterdam

Arkin / Sinai Centrum

implementation network

Potential implementation partner: GGZ network signal, not verified as a COMP006 site.

Included as a specialist mental-health organisation connected to the OPEN GGZ working group, useful for consortium or pathway-building rather than immediate trial-site evidence.

Assen / Hoogeveen

GGZ Drenthe / Esketamine Treatment Center

ketamine/esketamine

Potential implementation site: esketamine compassionate-use infrastructure.

Source-backed esketamine treatment-centre affiliation; plausible delivery-infrastructure comparator for a supervised psychedelic treatment model.

Veldhoven / Eindhoven

Maxima Medical Center

ketamine/esketamine

Potential implementation site: esketamine treatment-centre affiliation.

Appears in the Dutch esketamine compassionate-use cohort with treatment-centre affiliations in Veldhoven and Eindhoven.

Maastricht

Mondriaan Mental Health Care

ketamine/esketamine

Potential implementation site: esketamine compassionate-use affiliation.

A specialist mental-health site in Maastricht with source-backed esketamine infrastructure; useful but less direct than the COMP006 UMC sites.

Velserbroek

De Velse GGZ

ketamine/esketamine

Potential implementation site: esketamine compassionate-use affiliation.

Source-backed specialist GGZ esketamine infrastructure; likely relevant for delivery capacity rather than registration-trial experience.

Rotterdam

Aparee GGZ

ketamine/esketamine

Potential implementation site: esketamine treatment-centre affiliation.

Rotterdam-area specialist GGZ node with esketamine treatment-centre signal in the Dutch compassionate-use cohort.

Tilburg

Elisabeth-TweeSteden Hospital

ketamine/esketamine

Potential implementation site: hospital psychiatry esketamine affiliation.

Hospital psychiatry department listed in the Dutch esketamine cohort; plausible supervised-administration infrastructure.

Nijmegen

Radboudumc

ketamine/esketamineimplementation network

Potential implementation site: esketamine cohort and academic psychiatry signal.

Relevant academic psychiatry and neuroscience node with Dutch esketamine cohort affiliation; possible future implementation or research partner.

Vreeland

Magnolia Therapy

ketamine/esketamineprivate specialist care

Potential implementation comparator: current specialist GGZ ketamine/esketamine programme.

Private/specialist-care example with public ketamine and esketamine TRD programmes; useful for delivery-model comparison, not equivalent to a COMP360 launch site.

Map source notes

How to read the map

The strongest evidence layer is the three current Dutch COMP006 locations: UMC Utrecht, UMC Groningen, and LUMC Leiden.

The white dots are deliberately labelled as potential infrastructure, not launch forecasts. They represent visible ketamine/esketamine, academic psychiatry, or GGZ network signals that may matter after approval.

  • Black dot: verified current COMP006 site.
  • White dot: plausible delivery or implementation site, with source-backed rationale.
  • Grouped markers indicate locations that overlap at city or institutional level.

What a potential site signal means

The map moves the access question from abstract approval to a concrete system problem: where would care actually happen in the Netherlands?

It also separates trial capacity from routine-care capacity. A trial site may be well positioned, but scaling a reimbursed service needs workforce, rooms, governance, referral pathways, and payment.
