Blossom’s read

Beckley Academy sits in the professional end of the psychedelic education field: research-led, therapist-facing, and more grounded in clinical ethics than in wellness branding. Its strongest lineage is the Beckley Foundation and Amanda Feilding, which gives it real historical credibility, while its faculty and course design lean towards relational care, cultural responsiveness, and practical preparation for clinicians. It is best suited to qualified practitioners who want structured, contemporary training rather than a general-interest introduction.

Who is Beckley Academy for?

Best for licensed mental health professionals and other healthcare professionals who want to work with psychedelic-assisted therapy in a clinical or adjacent professional setting. Its introductory course is broader, but the flagship relational programme is aimed at practitioners with an existing therapeutic foundation.

What do you need before you start?

For Relational Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy, participants must be licensed mental health professionals, trained through an accredited programme leading to licensure, or legally authorised ceremonial practitioners. Beckley Academy says special exceptions may be made in some cases. Essentials of Psychedelic Care has no licensing requirement or application process and is intended for professionals across the spectrum of care.

Is Beckley Academy accredited?

Beckley Academy is not a regulatory or licensing body and does not certify, licence, or legally authorise anyone to practise as a mental health professional or to administer psychedelic drugs. It does not currently offer CEUs, academic credit, or an Oregon-sanctioned PAT training.

How much does it cost?

Essentials of Psychedelic Care is listed at $895 and is a one-time payment course with no payment plans, no refunds after payment, and no additional fees. Relational Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy requires one-time payment of the full price; Beckley Academy offers limited scholarship or tuition-reduction support for that course, and a MyWellbeing offer lists tuition at $3,950 after a $1,050 discount.

What do you walk away with?

Learners receive a certificate of completion, which Beckley frames as an educational achievement rather than a professional licence or legal authorisation. The training is aimed at building practical competencies in psychedelic care, relational ethics, cultural responsiveness, and safe, ethical support across ketamine-, psilocybin-, and MDMA-assisted therapy.
